We are seeking a Python Backend Developer in New York City (hybrid, 3 days onsite) for an 18-month W2 contract ($60–$70/hr) to support a high-profile Global Markets Supervision & Surveillance modernization initiative. The role involves developing backend services, REST APIs, and scalable alerting solutions, migrating legacy platforms to centralized supervisory systems, and supporting audit, compliance, and regulatory workflows. Candidates should have 5+ years of Python development, experience with relational/object-oriented databases, REST APIs, and enterprise-scale systems. Financial services, global markets, and regulatory experience is highly preferred. Strong communication, production support, and collaborative skills are essential.
