Position: SharePoint Developer
Location: 100% Remote
Work Hours: Availability required between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
Work Authorization: Must work exclusively within the United States
Scope of Work
SMUD is seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer to support its SharePoint Migration Project. The selected contractor will be responsible for:
Migrating SharePoint 2016 content to SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365) and OpenText Documentum D2
Conducting business unit content review and disposition activities
Migrating SharePoint 2013 workflows to Microsoft Power Automate
Developing new Power Automate workflows
Performing migration validation, quality assurance, and post-migration support
Key Responsibilities
Analyze existing SharePoint environments and migration requirements
Design and execute migration strategies while preserving metadata, permissions, and document structures
Rebuild SharePoint 2013 workflows into Power Automate cloud flows
Conduct testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Coordinate with Microsoft 365 governance and business teams
Maintain project documentation, issue tracking, and validation reports
Mandatory Requirements
Candidates must have:
Minimum 5 years of experience with SharePoint Online and Power Automate development
Minimum 5 years of experience delivering SharePoint migration projects for enterprise, government, or utility organizations
Experience completing at least 3 SharePoint on-premises migration projects (2013/2016/2019)
Hands-on experience with SharePoint migration tools
Proven expertise migrating SharePoint Designer 2013 workflows to Power Automate
Technical Expertise Required
SharePoint 2016 on-premises architecture
SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 governance
Power Automate workflow development
Migration planning, execution, validation, and remediation
SharePoint permissions and metadata management
Experience with the following is :
OpenText Documentum D2
FME “Migration-Center”
Advanced Power Automate constructs and API integrations
Agile development environments
SharePoint Subscription Edition migrations
